Here at NamNam, we are continuously working towards eliminating the use of single-use plastics. We are in the midst of changing our tableware and takeaway packaging in support of sustainability. Reducing plastic waste is one way to help create and maintain the conditions under which both humans and nature can exist in productive harmony to support our present and future generations. We understand that change starts with us and we want to do our part in reducing plastic waste. Join us in our efforts to save our environment.

Why cut down on plastic?

Singapore used about 3 billion plastic bags in 2011, according to Singapore Environment Council (SEC) and the number is likely to increase as the population increases.

There are many unsustainable products that we use every single day that it becomes part of our normal daily life and seems unnoticeable to us how these products can harm our environment.

The average ‘working life’ of a plastic bag is about 20 minutes. But it takes about 450 years or forever to decompose.

Here are 5 ways that can help cut down on plastic and waste at NamNam

Bring your own reusable bag – or get your reusable bag from NamNam!

Bring your own reusable container for takeaways. Bring in your tumbler for your morning coffee and avoid the takeaway charge.

Don’t use straws at all! If you have to, bring your own reusable straws or use compostable straws. We are in the midst of changing to compostable straws.

NamNam Napkins are made from 100% recycled materials. They are available upon request. Please take only what you need.
